Estéban Fourmi Estéban Fourmi, 1986 , Le Mans France. Esteban is a physical performer, teacher, choreographer and member of the renowned Jasmin Vardimon Company which is based in the UK. Esteban is a recent post-graduate student of London’s Contemporary Dance School. He started its dance studies in ballet in 2003 at the Conservatoire National de Région Angers, and then continued at the CNR in Paris in 2005. In 2006, he decided to get into a Junior Ballet Company choosing the Rosella Higthower CJB in Cannes. One year later he meet Jason Beechey, ex-director of the Charleroi/Dance who became the new rector of the great Palucca schule and offered him a place as a Guest student. Initially, it was a one year placement but Jason Beechey decided to give him the opportunity for one more year and in 2008 Esteban completed his Diploma in ballet. During his placement he performed work from famous choreographers as William Forsythe, Sasha Waltz, Rui Horta, Emily Molnar, Aaron Sean Watkin and others. After a short break in Japan, Esteban came back to Europe to start his career as a ballet dancer but his new ‘needs’ led him to Germany in TanzTheater exploring his potential as a performer. In January 2009 he had place in the company of Johannes Wieland at Staattheater Kassel for the production «und raus bist du» where at the same time he was touring in the festivals Tanzfactor in Switzerland with the duo « Male study » by Evangelos Poulinas. The same year he performed with Slava Gepner for the company’s first piece NovaTanz in Koln «night prayers» with which he concluded his work in Germany. In September 2009, Esteban moved to London and joined the Jasmin Vardimon Company. He learned and performed internationally the work of «Justicia» and «Yesterday» and started the creation process of « 7734 ». Today Esteban is looking forward to keep working with Jasmin Vardimon but also to collaborate more and more with other artists from different disciplines. It’s also a need for him to continue thinking and creating his own work in the field of Physical Performance. At the same time it is crucial for him to enjoy his other hobbies as music, reading, surfing and spend some quality time with friends and family! Esteban will be touring «Yesterday» and « 7734 » internationally and giving workshops on behalf of the Jasmin Vardimon comapny.
